You made the decision to become a real estate agent in the great state of Texas. You put in the time and work to get to where you’re at now. The thing is, your work isn’t done just yet. There’s still just a little more that you need to do before you can really get going with this exciting new career. You need a sponsoring broker. It’s not just another assignment. There are actually a few different things you can get from joining up with a quality sponsoring broker.

An Active License

If you’ve gotten this far, you’re probably already aware that every agent must be sponsored by a Texas real estate brokerage. It’s the law. At least, it’s a requirement for anyone who wants to have an active license anyway. Technically you don’t need to have a sponsoring broker if you’re okay with having an inactive license. You didn’t get this far to not have an active license, however, which is one of the first benefits you’ll get from partnering up with us.

Help and Support

You might think of us as something of a mentor for you. No one starts out as an expert in real estate, but between experience and education, it is possible to experience some real growth. Of course, not all of that experience has to be yours. If you want real guidance and support, Reed Coleman is your go-to guy.

The Chance to Keep Your Money

The thing that some people get hung up on with a sponsoring broker is that they sometimes take a huge chunk out of your commission and keep it for themselves. On the one hand, they’re a business, and need to make money too. On the other hand, you’re the one putting in all the hard work to close deals and earn that commission. No one wants to see around half of their earnings going into someone else’s pockets. That’s why we don’t take steep commission cuts from any of our agents. You choose the sponsorship plan that makes the most sense to you, but no matter what you choose, you’ll still walk away with a lot more of your money than just half of it.

Every real estate agent in Texas must have a sponsoring broker. Not all sponsoring brokers are created equal, however. The broker you choose to enter into a sponsorship with can have a huge impact on the experience you have as an agent and what you’re able to earn from it. That’s why we’ve structured our brokerage the way we have: to give you and every one of the agents who work with us the best chance at not just succeeding, but thriving as a real estate agent.
